I started this blog to share with family and friends but also as a way to take time to remember all the adventures we are having together. So a little intro in case you don't already know us:
this is me, Mrs. W.
I'm still trying to figure out what I like. In the meantime I am a mother to three beautiful kids and lover to my husband of (almost) six years. I am fairly neat but living with three kids under four is teaching me it's okay to be messy sometimes (I'll be damned if I'm gonna let my kids play in a sandbox). I prefer tea to coffee and can listen to Christmas music anytime of the year. It ALWAYS puts me in a good mood.
this is my husband, Babe.
He's pretty rad. He is a construction worker (more or less) by trade. It really comes in handy...for other people. You know how it is, true story; my awesome hubby hung our pictures up with double stick tape. Yikes. He's an amazing father, like off the charts and loyal and honest and my best friend. Babe is short, and I like that about him. He's in to his motorcycle and video games, typical male.
this is Sissy.
She is smart, very smart, a little too smart. She is four years old, she can be completely immersed in princess gowns and nail polish one minute and wrestling with Babe the next. She loves to run, like really loves it, she's not shy and extremely opinionated. Sissy can recall details from events that occurred two years ago, and recount her day minute by minute with perfect accuracy. She can be bossy but it's that kind of thing that makes her such a great big sissy.
this is bubby, or bub.
Bubby is two years old. He loves cars, trains, and bananas. He is quieter than the other two and will play alone for hours if you let him. Bub is the most creative of my children, he makes music out of ordinary things and colors really well for his age. He is kind and good natured and super nurturing towards his baby sister. Bubby's faults? Well he is a middle child sandwiched between two girls so he is a bit of a cry baby, but give him twenty minutes of lap time and he is good to go.
this is Squishy.
Squishy is five months old! It seems crazy to say that, since she was definitely born yesterday. We don't know much about her personality yet except for that she is much more vocal than our other kids and just as easy going.
Squishy was born with hip dysplasia, basically the socket of her hip is flat and won't hold the head of her femur in place so her hip is sort of constantly dislocated. She wore a brace for the first six weeks of her life starting at day five and when that didn't work she got scheduled for hip surgery. She will have open reduction surgery on January 15, 2014 followed by twelve weeks in a chest to ankles cast. It should be interesting.
